Disney to Pay $50 Million Over Live TV Streaming Price-Fixing Lawsuit
The Walt Disney Company has agreed to a $50 million antitrust settlement following a class-action lawsuit. Plaintiffs accused Disney of inflating market prices by forcing live TV streaming competitors—including YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream—to bundle ESPN into their cheapest base packages. While Disney denies any wrongdoing, eligible subscribers who held accounts between 2019 and 2026 can submit claims for compensation until September 8, 2026.
