DoT extends WFH exemption for IT industries till 31 December 2020

<p>The Department of Telecom has extended the WFH exemption for IT/ITES/BPO industries till 31 December 2020. It was earlier supposed to end on 31 July 2020. Organizations had been asking govt to make the WFH relaxation permanent so that they can implement, invest in a strong remote working model. Thus, this move is cheerfully accepted by most of the IT firms. Since March, 90% of India&rsquo;s IT industry has moved to remote working due to the COVID-19 imposed lockdown.</p>
