Electronics Manufacturing Now Employs 2.5 Million in India
Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that India’s electronics manufacturing sector now employs around 2.5 million people, spanning domains like mobile phones, laptops, servers, and routers. Speaking at the inauguration of Optiemus Infracom’s Noida tempered glass facility, he emphasized the importance of manufacturing key components domestically—a mission aligned with the Make in India initiative.
