End of the Line: Apple Pulls the Plug on Repairs for Older MacBooks

Apple has officially classified the 2018 Retina MacBook Air, the 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro (2 ports), and the 2018 13-inch MacBook Pro (4 ports) as obsolete. Hitting the seven-year post-sale mark means Apple and its authorized service providers will no longer offer official hardware repairs or supply replacement parts for these models, leaving users to rely entirely on third-party repair services.
