EU Opens Antitrust Probe Into Broadcom's $61 Billion VMware Bid

<p>Broadcom's $61 billion acquisition of server virtualization company, VMware, is being investigated by regulators in Europe and the U.K. Margrethe Vestager of the European Commission expressed concern that the deal would have an adverse impact on competition. Broadcom says it's working with regulators to answer their concerns. The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority is also looking into the deal.
