Facebook accused of putting profit before user safety regarding hate speech

<p>Frances Haugen, who formerly worked as a product manager on the civic misinformation team at Facebook, has accused the company of repeatedly prioritising profit over user safety. She appeared on the CBS television program "60 minutes" revealing herself to be the person who submitted documents displaying Instagram's harm to teen girls, to the Senate. Facebook has in return released a statement disputing points Haugen made.</p>
