Facebook, Microsoft vacating Seattle-area offices

<p>Office buildings in Seattle and Bellevue are being abandoned by Facebook and Microsoft. The adjustments are being made as the need for office space is being reduced by the popularity of remote work and a tech downturn with significant layoffs. According to a recent survey by commercial real estate firm Colliers, the overall office vacancy rate is currently about 25%.<br />
