Facebook owner Meta faces 5 years of tough antitrust oversight in Germany

<p>Meta has been designated as subject to a special competition abuse control regime in Germany. The five-year designation allows the regulator to act more quickly in response to competition concerns related to Meta's operations. It comes after Germany's digital competition rules were updated in 2021. Meta confirmed that she has not filed an appeal against the designation, according to the FCO. It does, however, disagree with some of the findings.</p>
