Facebook planning on rebranding, renaming itself, reports The Verge

<p>Facebook is planning to rebrand and rename itself in the upcoming week, said a report in The Verge, citing an insider source. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook Founder, and CEO, reportedly plans to talk about renaming at Facebook's annual Connect conference on Oct 28th. After the rebranding, the social app would come under a parent company, similar to WhatsApp and Instagram. When asked, Facebook said it "does not comment on rumor or speculation".<br />
