Following Criticism, Nvidia Claims to be "Unlaunching" 12GB RTX 4080

<p>The 12GB RTX 4080 graphics card that Nvidia will soon release has been put on hold. After initially announcing the 12GB RTX 4080 alongside a significantly more potent 16GB variant last month, Nvidia now acknowledges that the nomenclature was incorrect. Nvidia claimed in a blog post that the RTX 4080 12GB is a wonderful graphics card but that its name is incorrect. It's perplexing to have two GPUs with the 4080 designations said the blog post.</p>
