Foxconn Launches iPhone 17 Production at $2.8B Devanahalli Plant, Boosting India’s Tech Manufacturing

Foxconn has initiated small-scale production of the iPhone 17 at its newly built Devanahalli plant in Bengaluru—a $2.8 billion facility and the company’s second-largest manufacturing unit outside China. Despite an early hiccup caused by departing Chinese engineers, Foxconn swiftly resumed operations by deploying experts from Taiwan and other regions. The move reinforces India’s growing role in Apple’s supply chain and supports its strategy to boost domestic assembly and exports.
