From $10 Park to $10M Data Center: Texas City Bypasses Residents

Thirty years ago, the Bland family donated 87 acres of land to Taylor, Texas, for just $10 to build a public park. Instead, the city sold it for $10 million to build a massive data center. Officials state that local approval isn't required because existing zoning laws already permit data centers, leaving frustrated residents fighting the development in court.
