Future iPhones Will Adhere to EU's USB-C Mandate, Apple Executive Claims

<p>Consumers and government agencies have put a lot of pressure on Apple to switch the iPhone's charging port from the lightning connector to USB-C. The pressure on the tech giant to make the changeover has increased because the European Parliament earlier this month voted in support of the legislation requiring phone makers to embrace USB-C ports as of 2024. The corporation will comply with the EU order, said Greg Joswiak, senior vice president of marketing at Apple.</p>
