GlobalFoundries to provide Qualcomm with chips to the tune of $4.2B

<p>Qualcomm committed to spending a total of $7.4B on semiconductor chips through 2028 after agreeing to purchase an extra $4.2B of chips from GlobalFoundries&#39; New York manufacturing facility. The two businesses&#39; previous $3.2B purchase deal has been expanded which will result in the production of chips for 5G transceivers, Wi-Fi, automotive, and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.&nbsp;</p>
