Google and DOJ Present Final Arguments in Landmark U.S. Search Antitrust Case

As the U.S. search antitrust trial concludes, Google and the Department of Justice (DOJ) present final arguments on proposed remedies for Google's illegal dominance in online search. The DOJ suggests measures including forcing Google to sell its Chrome browser, share search data, and halt payments to device makers for default search engine placement. Google contends these proposals are excessive. Judge Amit Mehta aims to rule on the remedies by August 2025.
