Google Formally Discontinues Hangouts App
<p>In accordance with a statement from the business, Google has officially discontinued Hangouts. Users will be redirected to Google Chat from the app, which has served as Google's main chat platform since 2013. Since July, when the Chrome extension and mobile apps in Google Play and the Apple Program Store were taken down, Hangouts, a text, video, and audio chat app integrated into Gmail, have been discontinued.</p>
