Google plans to invest up to $1B in Airtel

<p>Airtel and Google have agreed to a long-term, multi-year partnership to help India's digital ecosystem grow faster. Google plans to invest up to $1B in its Google for India Digitization Fund, which will include both equity and a corpus for potential commercial agreements that will be identified and agreed on mutually agreeable terms over the next five years. The investment includes a $700M equity investment in Bharti Airtel.</p>
