HP Plans to Lay Off 10% of its Global Employees and Cut 6,000 Jobs

<p>Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) will cut up to 6,000 positions over the next three years in response to declining personal computer demand, which has impacted revenues. HP has been dealing with a continuous decrease in the personal computer market, which accounts for the vast bulk of its sales. As companies cut back on personnel numbers and technology spending, it began with lower-end consumer goods and has since spread.</p>
