India Considers ₹20,000 Crore Fund to Boost Frontier AI and Computing Infrastructure

The Indian government is considering an anchor investment of ₹15,000–20,000 crore for a proposed National Frontier AI & Compute Fund under the IndiaAI Mission. The fund could provide long-term capital to frontier AI companies and support GPU clusters, specialized data centres and other AI infrastructure. Its final size, structure and governance are still under consultation and have not been finalized.
