India Data Centres to Hit 2.4 GW by FY28 with ₹2 Trn Investment Pipeline
India Ratings & Research forecasts data-centre capacity will near double from 1.3 GW in FY25 to 2.4 GW by FY28, driven by retail data growth, public-cloud demand, and AI workloads. Announced expansions total 7.1 GW—1.3 GW under execution and 1.6 GW in planning—backed by a ₹1.6–2.0 trillion capex pipeline over five to seven years. Annual additions are set to accelerate to 300–350 MW, up from 150–250 MW previously.
