Indian firms pay hackers nearly Rs 6 cr per DNS attack

<p>Organisations in India paid at least Rs 6 cr per DNS attack, as such attacks touched peak (12.13 per organisation) this year. Nearly 27% of firms had sensitive customer information stolen, compared to 16% globally. Cloud service downtime touched 65%. The costs of attacks in India, however, decreased by 6.08 % said a report published by EfficientIP and IDC. Globally, nearly 79% of the organisation experienced DNS attacks, with the average cost of around $924,000. </p>
