Indian Railways, IIT Madras to develop 'Indigenous' hyperloop technology

<p>The Indian Railways and IIT Madras have joined hands to create a hyperloop-based transit system. Several firms are working on a new type of transportation technology in which passenger pods pass through tubes or tunnels that have been devoid of most of the air. The Indian Railways Ministry has shown an interest in hyperloop tech. IIT Madras has proposed building a contactless pod prototype and a Hyperloop Test Facility with Railways.<br />
