Indian Smartphone market exits 2021 with highest-ever shipments

<p>The Indian smartphone market exhibited strong resilience in 2021, ending the year with the highest-ever shipments of 169 million units, according to Counterpoint Research. In 2021, the market grew by 11% YoY, despite a more severe second wave of Covid-19 and the resulting supply chain disruptions. The firm predicts that the market will grow by "double digits" in the future, with a healthy contribution from mid-to-high-end 5G smartphones.</p>
