Intel's Gelsinger: Feds Key to Saving Moore's Law
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger is fighting to save Moore’s Law—the doubling of transistors every two years—through major investments and US government support. Intel received up to $8.5 billion in CHIPS Act funding to boost domestic manufacturing, building new advanced factories in Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico, and Oregon. Gelsinger predicts Intel will maintain or even outpace Moore's Law over the next decade by using new technologies like RibbonFET and advanced 3D packaging.
