IT spending to take a hit as coronavirus impacts play out, IDC says

<p>Global IT spending is expected to grow 1% in the year 2020, down by 3% point from earlier projections of 4% YoY growth, research firm IDC said. The firm said that they expect a "significant slowdown" in hardware spending in H1 of 2020. Coronavirus outbreak will have a negative impact on spending on software and services as it has already impacted supply chains, trade, and business planning.</p>
