Lyft shutters in-house car rental program, lays off about 60 employees

<p>Lyft has joined the list of IT companies that are reducing staff. According to Lyft, it has cut roughly 60 jobs, stopped offering its own vehicle rental business, and is integrating its international operations. Two weeks prior to Lyft&#39;s scheduled release of its second-quarter earnings, there will be layoffs. Along with the layoffs, Lyft is also ending its first-party, five-location vehicle rental service on the app.</p>
