Meta Plans Significant Layoffs this Week: Report

<p>With plans to fire thousands of employees this week, Facebook parent company Meta will join a growing list of digital companies that have reduced their workforces. When announcing Meta's dismal third-quarter results, CEO Mark Zuckerberg predicted that the company's workforce will not grow by the end of 2023 and would perhaps slightly decline. In the third quarter, Meta's profits dropped to $4.4 billion, a 52 percent year-over-year decline.</p>
