Meta removes 2.7 Cr Facebook and Instagram posts in India

<p>Meta in its monthly transparency report informed that it had taken action against 2.7 Cr accounts on Facebook and Instagram in July. To comply with the IT Rules, 2021, the company initiated action against 2.5B postings on Facebook and 20 lakh posts on Instagram. According to the data, Facebook took action against 1.73 Cr spam posts. It was followed by 23 lakh posts about "violent and graphic content" and 27 lakh posts about "adult nudity and sexual activity."</p>
