President Donald Trump claimed Meta’s massive AI data center project in Richland Parish, Louisiana, carries a staggering price tag of $50 billion—far exceeding the $10 billion originally announced. The project, intended to power Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, targets significant expansion of AI compute capacity. Meta has arranged $29 billion in financing led by PIMCO and Blue Owl Capital. The company declined to comment on Trump’s statement.
