Meta's plans to build data centre in Netherlands hits political hurdle

<p>The Dutch Senate passed a vote on Tuesday urging the government to "exercise its powers" to block the installation of Facebook owner Meta's planned massive data center in the Netherlands for the time being. The town of Zeewolde, 50 kilometers east of Amsterdam, authorized plans in December to create the Netherlands' largest facility of its sort. The facility will enable Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp in serving their European customers.</p>
