Microsoft builds tech to connect cloud services to rival owned data centres

<p>Microsoft is rolling out a host of new tech to offer cloud services in data centres that it does not own. This strategy of creating cloud software services able to run on its own, customers or even rivals data centres, has been key to Microsoft's rise to become the world's most valuable publicly-traded company. The new technology has persuaded some customers to use Microsoft services, in their own data centres, as they cannot always use Microsoft's centres.<br />
