Microsoft to Lease AI Data Centre Capacity in Portugal via Nscale

Microsoft plans to rent AI data centre capacity from Nscale at the Start Campus site in Sines, Portugal, to boost computing resources amid growing AI demand. The facility, powered by Nvidia’s latest chips, is expected to go live in early 2026. This deal expands Microsoft’s “neocloud” partnerships and addresses capacity constraints as it scales its AI infrastructure globally.
