NCLAT Greenlights Aakash Rights Issue EGM Despite Byju's Objections

The NCLAT rejected an appeal by Glas Trust, the largest lender to Byju's parent company, against the Aakash Educational Services Ltd (AESL) EGM. This decision permits AESL to proceed with its shareholder meeting on October 29 to vote on a rights issue for fundraising, despite concerns that it will dilute Byju's existing 25% stake.
