Nintendo Secures $2 Million Judgment Against Modder Ryan Daley for Piracy
A U.S. District Court has ordered Ryan Daley, operator of the now-defunct Modded Hardware website, to pay Nintendo $2 million and cease selling modded Switch consoles, modchips, and MIG flash cartridges. Nintendo accused Daley of facilitating widespread piracy, causing significant harm. Daley, who represented himself in court, denied wrongdoing. The ruling includes a permanent injunction barring him from future involvement in console modding.
