OpenAI Acquires Statsig for $1.1B, Appoints CEO as CTO of Applications

OpenAI is set to acquire product-testing startup Statsig in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $1.1 billion, according to Reuters. The acquisition comes as OpenAI scales its AI products amid growing competition. Statsig’s CEO, Vijaye Raji, will take on the new role of Chief Technology Officer of Applications, overseeing key product engineering for flagship tools like ChatGPT and Codex.
