OpenAI's Sam Altman Seeks Funding and Chip Supply in Asia
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is on a global tour across East Asia and the Middle East to secure funding and manufacturing partnerships to meet the company's growing demand for computing capacity. Since late September, Altman has met with major suppliers such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Foxconn, Samsung, and SK Hynix to boost AI chip production and secure top-priority orders for OpenAI.
