Oracle launches first of two cloud data centres in Israel

<p>Oracle Corp has opened the first of two cloud public planned data centres in the country, allowing organisations to store data locally and reducing dependence on other countries. The data center is a 9-floor underground structure in Jerusalem's tech parks and is estimated to have cost hundreds of millions of dollars. It's designed to be functional in the face of potential terror attacks, and can reportedly withstand massive bombs and rocket detonations.</p> <p> </p>
