Panasonic Corporation to build $4B battery plant in Kansas for EV production

<p>Panasonic announced it intends to construct the largest EV battery manufacturing facility in the world, a $4B complex in Kansas that will produce and supply lithium-ion batteries to EV manufacturers. Early in 2024, the electronics manufacturer also plans to start supplying Tesla with high-capacity batteries. These batteries are anticipated to have a fivefold increase in energy capacity, which might extend the range by more than 15% and lower production costs.</p>
