Powering the AI Boom: Generac Accumulates $1.6B Data Center Backlog

Generac, traditionally known for home backup generators, has amassed a $1.6 billion order backlog for data center power equipment driven by the AI expansion. To meet surging demand, the company is investing $250 million by 2027 to expand factories and add 1,000 workers. However, CEO Aaron Jagdfeld cautioned that the main question remaining is how long the AI construction boom will last.
