Powering the Cloud: Uniper Pivots to Data Centers with €5B Power Play

German energy group Uniper is shifting its strategy to target the growing digital infrastructure market. The company plans to invest €5 billion by 2030 in flexible power and renewables, hosting data centers directly at its power plant sites to secure new revenue. Uniper has identified over ten suitable locations, with Berlin currently preparing to sell its 99.12% stake in the utility.
