Powering Up AI: Google Partners with Southern Co Unit to Boost Nuclear Grid Output

Southern Company's Georgia Power signed an agreement with Google to fund power upgrades across nuclear units at Plants Vogtle and Hatch. The deal will add roughly 96 megawatts of carbon-free capacity to the grid, supporting Google’s data center demand while generating an estimated $900 million in customer savings over the plants' lifespans.
