Powering Up: Prysmian Plugs Into US AI Infrastructure Boom

Italian cable maker Prysmian has agreed to acquire U.S.-based electrical infrastructure firm Atkore in an all-cash deal valued at $3.8 billion ($95 per share). The acquisition expands Prysmian’s presence in North America, targeting surging demand for AI data centers and electrification projects. Unanimously approved by both boards, the transaction is expected to close by late 2026, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
