British telecom provider Gamma Communications has agreed to a £1.08 billion ($1.46 billion) buyout by London-based private equity firm Epiris. Under the cash deal, shareholders receive 1,120 pence per share—a 53% premium over pre-talk levels—capping months of negotiations. The acquisition will take the FTSE 250 company private as it expands across the UK and Europe.
