Prosus Cancels its $4.7 B Acquisition of BillDesk in India

<p>In an unexpected move a month after the proposed acquisition received approval to proceed from the local antitrust watchdog, Prosus has canceled the $4.7 billion acquisition of BillDesk it announced last year. Prosus cites "certain conditions" as being unfulfilled. The all-cash acquisition, which was planned to be the second largest M&A deal in the consumer internet space in the South Asian market, was announced during the height of the bull cycle last year.</p>
