Prosus Increases Stake in Urban Company to 7.35% Ahead of $1.8 Billion IPO
Prosus NV has more than doubled its stake in Urban Company to 7.35%, investing $139 million ahead of the startup's initial public offering (IPO). The company debuted on the Mumbai Stock Exchange with a 74% surge, valuing it at $2.8 billion. Urban Company, offering services like carpentry and cleaning across 51 cities, achieved profitability this year. The IPO was oversubscribed 100 times, reflecting strong investor demand.
