Qatar’s Ooredoo Powers Up Asia’s Next Big AI Surge

Qatari telecom giant Ooredoo is committing $800 million for a 49% stake in Zankore, an Indonesian AI compute and neocloud platform. Developed alongside NVIDIA, Nokia, and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, the project targets up to 1 GW of capacity. Projected to generate $600 million in cumulative EBITDA over five years, the deal expands Ooredoo's footprint into high-growth Southeast Asian AI infrastructure.
