Qualcomm, LG joins to develop automotive infotainment platform

<p>South Korean company LG Electronics and US chipmaker Qualcomm will join hands to develop an in-vehicle infotainment platform for connected cars. The firms have signed a strategic partnership to develop the automotive platform, which would combine entertainment and information delivery or both drivers and passengers. Reportedly, firms are planning to showcase this new system, called webOS Auto at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas in January.</p>
