Kearney report reveals that the surge in quick commerce platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart is largely cannibalizing existing retail channels rather than generating new demand. Only 6-8% of quick commerce sales are truly incremental, with the majority coming at the expense of modern trade, e-commerce, and local kirana stores. Despite offering smaller discounts (6-9%) compared to supermarkets and e-commerce platforms (13-18%), quick commerce's convenience is attracting consumers.
