RBI says 1.18 Cr payment devices deployed across country till April '22

<p>RBI deployed 1,14,05,116 payment devices across various locations across the country under its PIDF or Payments Infrastructure development fund scheme. The scheme which kickstarted in January '21 primarily focused on installing such infra across various tier-3 and tier-6 cities and tier-1 and tier-2 cities were included later. RBI plans to include special schemes to deploy such infra across rural regions.</p>
