Microchip Technology forecast second-quarter revenue between $1.59 billion and $1.62 billion, beating Wall Street estimates of $1.55 billion. The chipmaker is capitalizing on a cyclical rebound across industrial and automotive sectors, alongside surging demand for high-speed connectivity chips used in AI data centers, aerospace, and defense applications. Adjusted profit is expected to reach 91 to 95 cents per share, topping market forecasts.
